Over the weekend, I went to 2 basketballs games and had 2 very different experiences. The first game was on Friday. My mom, siblings, and I got invited by my mom's friends to go to a Cavs game and be in a suite. It was such a cool experience. We had a chef who made a pasta bar for us, there was unlimited number of drinks, snacks that never ran out, and a cart full of desserts for everyone. The Cavs played a very sweet game! LeBron James dunked back to back, lots of threes, and they won by a lot. So it was a very awesome once in a lifetime experience.
On Saturday, my dad's high school girls basketball team was in Columbus, so we decided to go and watch them. It was at a Pickering School. There were 2 sides showing the fans where to sit. The side for my dad's team was packed. My dad told me the whole town came to watch this game. We sat in the front row next to people my dad went to highschool with. If the girls won the game, they would go to states and play at Ohio State. The game was amazing, they won by over 30 points, and one girl hit her 1000 points milestone. And the crowd went wild when this small town team won the game and is going to State.
In conclusion, even though going to an expensive Cavs game was an amazing experience, sometimes the smaller things in life are more important, like the small town school going to state where the whole town comes to watch. It also shows that the most memorable things in life, may not have the most expensive price tag, or be the most popular team in the area, but watching a small town team win, was probably one of the best experiences I have ever had.
