Have you ever heard anyone say, "I can't wait to do mid-terms."? Me neither. Everyone stresses mid-terms because if you fail it, your grade will be demolished. And we all want it over with, so we can have a stress-free winter break. I don't really understand the point of a mid-term because, to me, they are just more weight put on my shoulder. I have sports, homework, a social life, and a life at home, I really don't need another test to freak me out on top of it. What is really the point, are they meant to show us what we can remember over a weekend of studying, or how many people do all-nighters just to remember a simple phrase.
I am very happy not all teachers this year are giving out midterms, but they decide to throw 2 tests, a socratic seminar, and a huge project due Tuesday! Why can't winter break just come? I don't want to wake up at 6:00 and end up in bed at 10 pm, I want to sleep in, have fun with friends, relax, and hang out with my family. But, I guess if we all make it to Thursday, then we can actually have a great time at the movies!
